Product Overview

Calcium oxide (CaO), also known as quicklime, reacts readily with moisture. In selected polymer applications it can be used as a functional drying or anti-foaming component, subject to formulation, dispersion, processing and safety requirements.

  • CaO content: at least 92.0%
  • Available particle-size references: 800, 1250, 2000 and 2500 mesh

Please provide the polymer or rubber system, processing temperature, required particle size, target addition level, moisture-control objective and relevant compliance requirements. Suitability and addition level must be tested in the customer's formulation and equipment.


Storage and Handling

Calcium oxide is alkaline and corrosive. Keep it tightly sealed, dry and protected from rain and humidity. Store separately from acids and use suitable protection for eyes, skin and respiratory exposure in accordance with the current SDS.
