Industrial chemical products often have multiple grades, particle sizes, purity levels, packaging options and application limits. A message that only asks for “the price” may not provide enough information for a relevant quotation.
Start with the exact product name and intended application. For example, natural barium sulphate for a high-gloss coating requires different information from calcium oxide for a moisture-control masterbatch or powder coating for an outdoor aluminium profile.
Next, share the required specification or the key items that matter most. These may include purity, controlled impurities, particle size, whiteness, oil absorption, colour, gloss, film thickness, weathering performance or a particular test standard. If a current material is being replaced, a TDS or target specification can make the discussion more efficient, provided it can be shared appropriately.
Quantity and delivery information are also important. Include the trial quantity, expected order quantity, destination country or port, packaging requirement and requested trade term if known. State whether you require TDS, SDS, COA, regulatory statements or other documents for the evaluation.
Finally, describe the evaluation process. If a sample test, laboratory formula or production trial is required, explain the target result and timing. This helps both sides understand that a website description is only a starting point and that final suitability must be confirmed using the selected grade, agreed sample and current documents.
