Epoxy, polyester, hybrid and anti-corrosion powder coatings serve different environments. Selection should begin with the substrate, exposure conditions, appearance and target tests.

Powder coating selection starts with a simple question: where and how will the coated product be used? Indoor furniture, outdoor building profiles and steel equipment exposed to moisture do not require the same coating system.

Epoxy powder coating is commonly used for indoor metal parts, electrical equipment and machinery components. Suitable grades can provide strong adhesion together with chemical and corrosion resistance. However, general epoxy systems are not normally the first choice for prolonged outdoor UV exposure.

Polyester powder coating is widely considered for outdoor metal products. Appropriate grades can offer improved UV and weather resistance for architectural profiles, outdoor furniture, railings and other exterior applications. The required weathering level, colour retention and corrosion tests should be defined before formulation selection.

Epoxy-polyester hybrid powder coating provides a balanced indoor option for furniture, hardware, appliance components, cabinets and general industrial metal products. It is selected where appearance, adhesion and general mechanical performance must be balanced.

Anti-corrosion powder coating is more project-specific. Performance depends not only on the powder, but also on substrate type, surface condition, pretreatment, primer or coating system, film thickness, curing schedule and the service environment. A salt-spray target cannot be guaranteed by the powder name alone.

When requesting a quotation, provide the substrate, indoor or outdoor use, colour reference, gloss or texture, film thickness, curing conditions, exposure environment, test targets, quantity and destination. The complete coating system should be validated before mass production.
